My Fitness Challenge

Hey guys!

Because of the amazing experience I've had with my Under Armour girls during the What's Beautiful challenge, I decided to start a ftiness challenge to the poker community. I know lots of you want to become healthier and get in shape, but haven't had the motivation to get started. STOP WAITING! Let's all do it together!

First off, I want you to set a goal for June. It can be anything that will ultimately make you healthier and happier. I want you to set your bar high, but also make sure your goal is realistic and achievable. Your goal can be to eat clean everyday, to work out 5 days a week, to run a certain number of miles over the course of the month, WHATEVER YOU WANT.

Set it, commit, and make a plan. How are you going to achieve your goal? Perhaps set some smaller progress goals that will allow you to achieve your month’s goal. Then tell me about it! snaptress@gmail.com

I posted a calendar for extra challenges and so that you can keep track of your progress and stay motivated along the way.

Here’s an explanation:

Max Out Monday – I want you do as many pushups/burpees as you can muster. Write down the number. See if you can’t do more each week.

New Stretch – Every Tuesday, I’ll show you a new stretch. I hope you’ll need it because your ass will be sore as hell ☺

Get your ass moving Wednesday – Doesn’t sound as catchy as Max-Out Monday but you get the point. Get moving! Go run. If you can’t run, walk. If you can’t walk, row, bike, ANYTHING! Just get your heart rate up!

New Exercise – Every Thursday, I’ll show you a new exercise to add to your repertoire.

Flex Friday – Show off!

Saturday – I’m going to give away prizes to a couple people each week who are really working hard. I admit the prizes will be small such as a copy of a poker book, a t-shirt, or poster, but I wanted to try to help motivate you guys!

Take pictures/videos of yourself completing the challenges and path to your goal and post them! Make sure you tag me so I can see them! Twitter- @kristyarnett or Instagram: @snaptress and HASHTAG #kristyfitnesschallenge so everyone can see each other’s progress!

I’m also going to put you all on an email list to send you motivational stuff every now and then! You can obv opt out of that at any time!

Good luck!

Online Poker is Back in Nevada!

Online is back!

Well, sort of. A couple weeks ago, Ultimate Poker opened to players who are physically within Nevada state lines. Players who live anywhere in the world can register and play when they are in the state. After more than two years without online poker, I was ecstatic at the opportunity to mash some buttons. Here is the video blog I made about playing on the site for the first time!

There problem with Verizon phones is now fixed, which should really help the numbers. Whooo hooo! Hopefully they will make software available for downloads on Macs. I ain't putting Windows on my Apple!

I haven't been able to play since make this video because I've been traveling. I'm here in Monaco for the PokerStars and Monte Carlo Casino EPT Grand Final! This place is amazing but expensive as hell! I'm trying not to go broke and also keep up with my fitness stuff.

I've been doing Yoga all over the place Smile The next pose was one that I thought was IMPOSSIBLE before. It feels so good to conquer the peacock!

Hope you all are doing well! I'm going to propose a fitness challenge! Stay tuned Smile

Reid Young Strategy

Hey guys!

I just got back from a trip of a lifetime to Seoul, South Korea and to Tokyo, Japan. I plan on writing a long blog about the trip, but for now, it's all about POKER!

I played my first APPT Main Event while in Seoul. It didn't go too well, but I discussed my experience in an episode of Strategy with Kristy.

My latest guest on the podcast was Reid Young. He's been on multiple times before and is always a huge pleasure.

On the podcast, we discussed topics from two of his strategy videos on his Transform Poker YouTube channel. Here they are so you can follow along.

Hope you guys are well! <3

The Harlem Shake Story

Once upon a time, there was this video:

It started getting a lot of hits, and then other people did their own versions:

I thought it would be funny if Sarah Grant and I did our own version just for a little extra jizz at the end of our PokerNews Weekly video. Then, we figured we might as well put it up as its own video on YouTube.

Then, THE HARLEM SHAKE BLEW THE F*** UP!

And someone made a compilation video using our version at the very beginning of the video.

That video has 1.3 million views. That many people has seen Sarah and I act like IDIOTS in what we thought was just going to be an off the cuff throw-in for another video. LOL. Face palm. OMG. SMH.

The end.

Here's a f***in' pic!

And here's Sarah Grant and I being super f***in' class for like 5 seconds.

I do what I want!

Small Improvements

Hey guys!

Just checking in. How are your New Year's Resolutions going? Do I need to kick your ass?

As you guys saw from my last blog update, my main resolution is to complete 30-Day Challenges every month (among other goals). This month was to do Yoga everyday. So far, so good Smile

When I started doing Yoga a couple of months ago, I felt defeated at first. I thought the poses that really inspired me were going to be impossible. Like this:

This girl is someone who I came to know while doing the Under Armour Women contest. Her name is Kacey, she won the competition, and it's obvious to see why. (She's @kaceyac on Instagram)

One of the biggest reasons why people fail at meeting their goals is because it's hard to see the end. You have to celebrate your small success along the way to keep you motivated. See every improvement as yourself getting closer to achieving the ultimate payoff.

I decided to take a few pictures to see if I've made any progress in my flexibility. At first, I was disappointed because of course, I wanted to see a GIANT step. But, as I said, I have to be proud of the subtle improvements I've made. I am closer to this particular goal than I was a month ago, right?

Well, you have to start somewhere! Here's a new one too:

Which I want to eventually look like this:

I'm going to end with the following picture, because this pose is the one that really got me into yoga. It requires an incredible amount of flexibility and STRENGTH! (Currently, I can't even begin to try this one or get off the ground)

Now GOOOOOO!!!
